If only i could freeze time and live in this speckled sunshine.
If only i could freeze time and live in this speckled sunshine.
This spoken poem is about an apple tree that was in my yard as a kid. In fact, it’s still there. Shasta and i really did eat apples from it, too.
The boy and the girl
they held their hands
under the blue of the sky.
The sun, it shone.
The breeze, it blew.
All of the clouds went by.
The boy, he said,
“I like your dress.”
The girl, she grinned,
“Your hair’s a mess.”
He told her how
her hair shone well.
It was the prettiest,
as he could tell.
She said how she
liked his new suit.
The black buttons and coat,
were ever so cute.
Yes, the boy and the girl
they held their hands
under the blue of the sky.
Their love, it shone
A kiss they blew.
They stood hand in hand, eye to eye.
