Teaching adjectives
has never been so yummy! I mean... fun! Use the templates
below to make juicy hamburgers with leafy lettuce, square
cheese, sweet onion, and red tomatoes. Challenge your students
to come up with their own original adjectives to describe
each topping, including:
The
bun
Meat
patty
Cheese
Bacon
Lettuce
Tomato
Pickles
Onion
Either
print the two free printables below, or make your own toppings
using construction paper. I assembled the burger, placed the
pieces inside the "bun," which was like a little
folder, and placed the whole thing inside a sandwich baggie.
Sometimes presentation is all it takes to make a project fun.
On
the back of each topping (including the bun), have the kids
write at an adjective to describe it. You can have them do
more than one adjective per item, if you prefer. On the front
in the space provided between the sesame seeds, have the students
write a descriptive word for the entire burger. Name and date
can go on the back and have them return it to the baggie so
nothing gets lost.
